The 2021 Annual National Convention and 10th Anniversary celebration of the Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help have come and gone, but the memories still linger.
From the 12th – 14th of November, 2021, devotees of our Mother of Perpetual Help gathered in their numbers to celebrate the 10thConvention Anniversary of the Confraternity. The gathering took place at the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, located in Enugu State, Nigeria. Devotees who gathered in their thousands joyfully sang praises to God for his guidance and protection. It was a very joyous moment for members who were able to meet again physically amidst the Covid-19 challenge. Testimonies of God’s faithfulness were overflowing.
The Chief Celebrant at the Holy Mass on the 13th of November, 2021, Most Revd Dr Ignatius Kaigama, the Archbishop of Abuja Archdiocese, charged the lay faithful present to emulate the virtues of the Blessed Virgin Mary in their pursuit of a godly Christian life. The August Gathering had present: the Vice Provincial Superior of the Redemptorist Vice-Province of Nigeria, Very Rev. Fr. Joterio Aghoja C.Ss.R, the Vicar, Rev. Fr. Jude Anyaegbu, C.Ss.R, the National Chaplain of the Confraternity, Fr. Pius D. Oyeniyi,C.Ss.R the Executive Secretary, Fr. Ambrose Unuajohwofia C.Ss.R, many other Redemptorist Confreres and diocesan Clergy. They all celebrated and rejoiced with the Confraternity of our Mother of Perpetual Help, a branch of the big Redemptorist family, faithfully committed to the mandate of making Mother of Perpetual Help known with all its heart, mind and strength.
The celebrations ended on a very joyous and happy note with the sacrifice of the Holy Mass on Sunday, the 14th of November, 2021. Below are a few pictures from the event, which remains memorable in the hearts of our Lay Partners.
