Saigon, Thursday, 30 June 2022 at 8:30 am, the Holy Mass of The First and Final Vows Profession of The Redemptorists Province of Vietnam was celebrated at The Our Lady of Perpetual Help Shrine.
The mass was presided over by Rev. Joseph Nguyen Ngoc Bich, the Provincial Superior, and on behalf of the congregation he received 11 novices professed their first vows, and 12 monks made their profession of final vows. At the same time, Fr Joseph gave the constitutions and statutes to the novices.
At the Eucharistic celebration, there was the presence of the Redemptorists Fathers from all over the world, visiting priests, concelebrants, religious sisters, great-grandparents, relatives, and friends of candidates who came to attend Mass coming from many different provinces of Vietnam.
In his homily, Provincial Fr. Joseph reminded the professed monks and the people of God to know the great gift that God had given to the Congregation. The professed monks were ready to dedicate their whole lives to follow the Lord, because redemption abounds for all, especially the poor, who abandoned to receive the Gospel, whose mission has been entrusted by God and the Church.
With today’s celebration of profession of vows, the total number of Redemptorists for the Province of Vietnam is 372. Thanks be to God
