One of the important and emotional rituals for parishioners during Parish Mission Week is the prayer ritual for the faithful who have passed away. Parish Mission is the blessing time not only for the living but also for the deceased.
Through this prayer ritual, those who are still alive express their filial piety and remembrance for those who have passed away, including the diocesan Bishops, Parish Priests, Asistant Parish Priests and other family members such as grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren who have passed away in the Lord.
This ritual usually takes place on the fourth day of the Parish Mission Week. This is one of the rituals that leaves a special mark on parishioners through tears of mourning for the deceased. Thereby helping them continue to remember and pray for their loved ones to the eternal rest in God.
